I know, just the mentioning conjures up really bad thoughts. Concerns emerge like, preparation (or lack thereof), fear, loss of sleep, doubt, future, etc. For anyone who has ever been positioned to take a final, you may consider all that you haven’t done, and wish for another opportunity to right the wrong. Just one last chance to wind back the hands of time and do things differently, without blemish. So often that is the case for what we paint as our life’s mistakes. Chosen paths that we believe led to destruction or demise. I wonder what would happen if instead we choose to categorize them as small steps albeit zigzag, direct, looping or crooked to assist us in reaching our destiny.
Jeremiah 29:11 reminds and affirms “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” This word is true no matter the destination or the selected method of transportation. It shall come to fruition! Habakkuk 2:3 reminds us that “This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.” During finals, you may not always look the sharpest, or be in your Sunday Best, but its your mind, your focus, your tenacity and your faith that will make all the difference. Travel involves turbulence, delays and annoyances but it does not detract from your excitement about your arrival. It’s your time and your season! Make it count. In the end, “It’s All God!”
